| Because teachers need to spend so much of their class time teaching the basics, little time is left to concentrate on science, social studies, or the arts. We have developed a series of books to help teachers and learners in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades SAVE time—so both can use their instructional time wisely. Two subjects are taught at one time. For instance, students study social studies (California Gold Rush) while learning math, reviewing language arts, or enhancing reading skills. Each activity book in the Learning Comes Alive series contains accurate historical facts. Each lesson is designed with the student in mind. There are easy to read and easy to follow directions, with enough space allowed for the students to write in their work and responses. These activity books have been extensively tested in both classroom and homeschooling settings. The books are easy for teachers to use. Hints and suggestions are provided for every lesson on how to use the activity in your classroom, regardless of your students' ability level. Enrichment and additional practice activities are suggested. Answers to all questions are provided. |
